Carmen Bremer is a seasoned practitioner with deep expertise in intellectual property and technology law, commercial transactions, and every facet of litigation, both state and federal. In addition to her years of experience litigating high-stakes commercial and intellectual property cases and counseling clients in IP transactions, Carmen also serves numerous businesses in a general counsel capacity, advising business leaders directly to provide workable solutions to the myriad issues they face in their day-to-day business operations. These include negotiating IP licensing, SaaS, and other commercial contracts, resolving employment issues, and complying with industry regulations. Over nearly a decade at an AmLaw top-ten law firm and since founding Bremer Law Group in 2015, Carmen's talents have consistently garnered exceptional results in complex, high-profile matters.

Carmen brings her skills to bear not only in the Boardroom, but also in the courtroom. At Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, Carmen was part of a trial team that secured a $170 million jury verdict on behalf of General Electric and defeated an inequitable conduct charge to a patent on GE's wind turbine technology in back-to-back trials. Carmen also has a track record of appellate wins in both state and federal courts of appeals.

Carmen was named to Super Lawyers’ list of “Rising Stars” in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. She was recognized by Lawyer Monthly in 2018 with a Women in Law Award. Carmen's work on behalf of California prisoners serving indeterminate terms in solitary confinement garnered recognition for Bremer Law Group as Human Rights Law Firm of the Year in 2017 and 2018 by Lawyer Monthly Magazine. Carmen is a member of the Order of the Barons and the Order of the Coif.

Carmen is committed to social responsibility and human rights. Her pro bono work has included challenging long-term solitary confinement in California state prisons; securing asylum for political dissidents from China, Kenya, and Uganda; obtaining a U Visa for a victim of domestic violence under the Violence Against Women Act, for which she was named an "Outstanding Young Associate" by Human Rights Initiative of North Texas in 2009; challenging a North Dakota law affecting reproductive rights; and securing the return of abducted children from Mexico under the International Child Abduction Remedies Act. Carmen also served on the board of directors of Alley’s House, a nonprofit organization that works to break the cycle of poverty in the Dallas area by providing education and mentoring services to teen mothers.
